The First Picnic in my life

Good Day everyone! In my class, we had a fun little event with everyone, and that was a picnic! The weather for the original date planned for the picnic was not well, and it was rainy for a long period, so it was really exciting to finally get to do a picnic!

It was my first time having an actual picnic, so I couldn't think of a picnic-compatible snack/meal and was worried that the bruschetta I prepared would be good, but everyone liked it! Besides my bruschetta, Ruka prepared a classic Korean meal, Kimbap. It was very flavorful and was really good. Yuika prepared a snack with cream cheese, nuts, honey, and crackers (I forgot what it was called), and it really fits the non-alcohol white sparkling wine Professor Dias prepared. Besides the sparkling wine Professor Dias prepared, he brought a vegan lasagna and a vegan apple pie which was made by his wife. It was my first time eating vegan lasagna and apple pie, so I couldn't imagine the flavor of it, but interestingly, I found it tastier. For dessert, Nodoka prepared a sponge cake, and Reika prepared brownies.
Besides the fabulous food that was prepared by everyone, it was very relaxing to get to eat with everyone in the perfect weather and with the perfect view of the pond at Yoyogi park. There was a crow-related incident that taught us a lesson not to give food to birds or else they won't go away anymore. It was really funny, by the way. We were able to do juggling and take a nap. In conclusion, the picnic was perfect, and it will be a memory I will remember for the rest of my life.

  1. I enjoyed reading your post, Yuka, and it helped me to "relive" the experience. It was such a relaxed and enjoyable time. I'm so glad that you found the vegan versions of apple pie and lasagna even more delicious than the more conventional versions. Thanks for posting the photos, too. They really capture the beautiful weather, colorful assortment of food, and joyful atmosphere of the event.
